MyFitnessPal is a free app that allows you to log your calories and exercise and interact with other users and fitness bloggers. The app has a food database of over 1,000,000 items, making it super quick and easy to log your meals after you eat. MyFitnessPal will show you how many of your daily calories you’ve expended through exercise based on your weight and help you reach your target. The app links with a number of fitness trackers like FitBit, Health Band and BodyMedia FIT.



Designed by the pros, Nike+Running allows you to track your route, distance, pace and time and interact with your friends. The app is completely hands free, so you won’t have to get out of your groove when you want to check your time or pause your music. Nike+ Running also links up with iTunes and Spotify, so you can stream your favorite playlists without having to switch apps– perfect for anyone training for the Nashville marathon on April 30th!


Johnson & Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout

This app is the busy college student’s dream come true. Containing 72 exercises and 22 additional workouts, you'll be able to fit in a quick exercises and get your blood pumping throughout a busy day of studying and classes. There are also longer workouts that can be done when you have more time and all are customized to fit your current weight and fitness level.


FIT Radio

While this app wont track your calories or your running pace, it offers hundreds of playlists to fuel any kind of workout. FIT Radio allows you to select your music by genre, workout type or BPM, so your music will always match your workout mood and pace. If you’re looking to beat your last mile pace, select a playlist with a higher BPM– your steps will mimic the beat and you’ll be running faster in no time.




This app (which costs a one-time fee of $4.99) brings the best of your Barre3 class into tough 10-minute routines on your iPhone! You can set these workouts to your favorite tunes and afterwards, browse the healthy recipe list for post-workout fuel.
