Fitness trends come and go, but dancing is one of the most timeless and enjoyable ways to get sweaty. From bar mitzvahs, to frat parties, to weddings—as long as the music is on point, people will be dancing. ((305)) Fitness has capitalized on people’s love for dancing by disguising their workout as a night out at a Miami club (hence the name, “305”). With locations in the village and midtown, as well as in Boston and DC, these classes will leave you bursting with endorphins and wanting more. Move over SoulCycle, ((305)) is giving a new meaning to the words “cardio party.”

The Sweat Scale

Don’t be fooled by the party atmosphere, ((305)) fitness classes make you #werk. The high-energy instructors get your heart rate up right away and keep it elevated for most of the 55-minute class.  If you’re looking for more fun ways to get in your much-needed dose of cardio than the boring treadmill, elliptical, or bike, this is a great alternative. Seriously, you will have so much fun that you'll likely forget that you're working out.

The Workout (or, Werkout, in this case)

With a live DJ, mood lighting, and a high-energy instructor, the 55-minute dance party will leave you feeling energized and exhausted by the end. The class combines aerobic and anaerobic training with HIIT intervals dispersed throughout. And the best part is that you don’t even realize you’re exercising because you’re too busy #feelingyourself. Don't be alarmed if you confuse the reflection in the mirror with Beyonce, it's totally normal. 

((305)) Fitness offers three different classes: ((305)) CARDIO Arms, ((305)) CARDIO Legs, and ((305)) CARDIO Basics. For all classes, expect at least a half hour of nonstop dancing, then a short break to target your arms or legs, followed by, you guessed it, more dancing. Don't worry if you're not a "good dancer," the instructor leads the class the entire time by demonstrating all of the easy-to-follow choreography, but also instructing loud and clear. While the classes are cardio intensive (90% is spent dancing) the instructors choose moves that target your core and other muscle groups so it feels like a full-body workout. It ain’t easy... cardio is hardio, but it sure is fun. 

What to Wear and How to Prepare    

Wear something that let’s you move, shake, and drop comfortably. We recommend bright or neon colors to keep with the Miami theme. But really just wear anything that you're comfortable and confident getting down in. Keep in mind that it does get hot and sweaty in the studio fairly quickly so make sure to hydrate plenty beforehand, and bring a bottle of water for the water breaks during class. 

The Atmosphere

Imagine if the hottest club in Miami turned into a fitness studio and that’s ((305)). While men are obviously welcome, the studio’s atmosphere oozes with girl power, as seen in the decor. Between the killer music, neon lights, and fast paced choreography, these classes are seriously addictive. You’ll walk out feeling like total BAMF and who doesn’t want to feel like that after their workout?

If you love a good sweaty dance party, then go learn how to "make sweat sexy" at ((305)) ASAP. ((305)) is all about making cardio fun again which is exactly what these intense 55-minute classes do.
